Knocking On Britain's Door Won't Be Easy After last week's game between the Timberwolves and Celtics in London, we can see that the UK market – the hardest to crack in Europe – is not going to be cracked that easily. Solutions are not forthcoming. It’s not enough that the Olympic games are going to be in London. Nor is it enough that a rising NBA superstar such as Luol Deng is British. NBA Commissioner David Stern will be hoping that this game acted as a sort of icebreaker, showing the British public what the NBA is all about first hand and with an NBA Office opening in London soon, maybe basketball, in particular the NBA, will gain more recognition. Sadly though, this game was not the big hit everyone had hoped for.

How Will Trade Shape Wolves' Future? While Boston immediately becomes a contender in the Eastern Conference, it appears as if Minnesota will be cellar-dwellers for a while. However, this trade for youth allows for that young talent on the team to grow and develop together.

Is This Really The End For KG In Minnesota? With all of the rumors circling around about the Minnesota Timberwolves possibly trading Kevin Garnett, we decided to compile a list of memorable moments in Garnett's professional career, just in case this is the end.

30 Teams, 30 Days: Minnesota Timberwolves Wing players will be aplenty with the 7th pick, but the Wolves could use a quality big man.

Free KG Winning a championship is a two part deal between the franchise player and the general manager. The franchise player must play his heart every night and be a role model the youngsters can look up to. The general manager must put the right pieces around its franchise player for the team to be competitive. In the case of the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the Kevins is keeping up their end of the deal.

Can The Wolves Satisfy Garnett’s Demands? Kevin Garnett's recent comments can be interpreted two ways – (1)It’s a plea from a superstar feeling the burden of carrying a professional franchise on his back for over a decade. (2)It’s the nice way of saying “If I don’t get some help, then get me the heck out of here.” Personally, I believe it’s a little bit of both.

Mike James = Mistake? The Minnesota Timberwolves and free agent guard, Mike James, have agreed to a 4-year contract worth nearly $25 million dollars. When I first heard the news, a number of questions popped into my head. Why Mike James? Don’t the Wolves have enough guards? Didn’t they just draft a stud guard in Randy Foye? This is definitely one of the most perplexing free agent signings by Wolves GM, Kevin McHale.

A Brave New World The Wally World era of the Minnesota Timberwolves is officially over. However, this trade is less about the players involved and more about what it says about the Timberwolves commitment to becoming a more defensive minded, athletic team. You could hardly find two players with such a disparity in athletic ability than Szczerbiak and Davis. Banks, Reed, and Jones are like lottery scratch off stocking stuffers while Blount will give the Timberwolves a body to throw in at center.

Minnesota Timberwolves Five Vibe Games 11-16 Wally Szczerbiak emerged from his season long shooting slump and finally put together a string of impressive scoring outputs. In the five game session, Wally World averaged 21.6 points per game. Not unrelated the Timberwolves went 4 and 1 in that stretch.

Minnesota Timberwolves Five Vibe Games 6 –10 With a 109-89 victory over the streaking Wizards, the Timberwolves avoided a three game slide. The Wizards weren’t prepared for Michael Olowokandi who scored a then season high of 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Richie Frahm scored 16 points and continued to be the Wolves’ only outside shooting threat, going 4-5 from the three-point line.

The Best Of Times Or The Worst Of Times.. After a one year hiatus, the national media has resumed its campaign to convince Kevin Garnett that he will never win a championship in Minnesota and he would be better served being Kobe’s Scottie Pippen. As much as the folks in L.A. and the league offices would like that to happen, there is only one way it will.

Hero$ To hear a guy like Latrell Sprewell say he doesn’t make enough money to feed his kids makes us despise him. We the averages Joes have money issues, our heroes do not. Sprewell can feed his kids, he could feed his whole block 3 squares a day if he lived on one. That is not what he meant when he made that statement. His reality, I am a 30 plus, past my prime, perimeter NBA player. I need to get as much as I can before I am out of this league.

Who Is Damien Wilkins By examining Wilkins career it becomes apparent what his contribution the Timberwolves could be. In a best case scenario Wilkins could develop into a solid option off of the bench who can provide defensive intensity and an ability to get to the basket. Wilkins has displayed both leadership and willingness to be a role player in the past.

Who Is Dwayne Jones? Rumors have begun to circulate that the Minnesota Timberwolves have signed undrafted free agent Dwayne Jones formerly of St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania. Jones had slipped through the draft and was looking to return to school. He had not signed an agent and it appeared that things were in order for him to resume his career under Coach Phil Martelli.

A Second Chance At A Sensational Two The Minnesota Timberwolves drafted a shooting guard with immense talent who possesses some questions about character. The year was 1993 and his name was J.R. Rider, who immediately changed his name to Isaiah. In 2005 the Timberwolves selected a talented shooting guard who came from a big time program but also came with questions about his work ethic and attitude. Luckily, Rashad McCants refrained from changing his name to Zeke.

Timberwolves 2005 Draft Outlook The bad news is that the Wolves have a frightening history with the #14 pick. In 1999, they selected Duke point guard Will Avery with the #14 pick, ahead of players like Ron Artest, Andrei Kirilenko, Manu Ginobili, James Posey…heck, even Jeff Foster, Kenny Thomas, and Devean George. Needless to say, Avery turned out to be a major bust. Not a good omen.

KG's Franchise Steve Francis is the perfect compliment to KG. Sure he can be labelled a little ‘ball greedy’ sometimes, but KG is a very unselfish team player, so these two might just work together. Both of their contracts are up in 4 years time too. So they have a 4 year time frame to win the championship.

It's About 'Flippin' Time! The struggling Timberwoves have reason to start thinking optimistically again. Kevin McHale gave long time friend and ex-college roommate Flip Saunders his walking papers this Saturday. This much overdue decision can only mean good things for the Wolves.
